Beckett Ridge HOA Board MeetingMarch 17, 2009 6:30 p.m. at Tri County Baptist ChurchMeeting Minutes
Call to Order Dennis Bender called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m.
Board
Members present were Dennis Bender, George Hulsizer, Sharon Palm,
Debbie Olszowka, Mitch Lippert, Terri Wong and Burt Young. Debi Perkins
represented Towne Properties. Tony Wilson and Bob Wilson represented
Brickman. Dave Burling represented the Landscape Committee.
Landscape Committee Report
- Dave Burling gave the report. No meeting was held in March but one is
scheduled in April. One new member was added, Steve Mullin who lives in
Saratoga Farms has joined the committee.
Brickman
–Tony Wilson gave the report. He reviewed with the Board the monthly
landscape management schedule. The reseeding has been done in the
common areas on Crossbridge and Rupp Farm. An owner who lives on Rupp
Farm approached Brickman about adding some trees to the common area to
help block access to his yard. The owner would pay for the trees and
their installation if the Beckett board approved. The board agreed to
the request.
Minutes Approved
The Minutes of the previous Board of Trustees meeting held February 17, 2009 were approved with no changes.
Managers Report
The Board reviewed the current Management Report and Debi responded to questions.
Financial
The
Board reviewed and approved the current cash statement and delinquent
status report. As of March 10, 2009 the delinquency amount was
$67,549.10.
Architectural Review
The
Board reviewed one application, which was approved conditionally. The
owner will be notified of the Board's decision and the necessary
conditions to be met prior to installation of the improvement.
Old Business
A.
Common Area Restrictions - update from Jim Matre, Association attorney
- Mr. Matre will send a letter to the owners who have installed a fence
on BR common area with a request to remove the fence within sixty (60)
days. He will also send letters to two other BR owners who have added
items to Beckett Ridge common areas.
B.
Drainage Inspection - Burt Young updated the Board on the progress made
so far on the pending drainage repairs. He has been in touch with both
Butler County Engineers and Craig Honkamp about what needs to be done
next. There may be some funding from Butler County to help with the
necessary engineering studies needed before any work can be done on the
problem behind Rupp Farm. Bids will be taken for fixing the problem at
the end of Eagle Ridge.
New Business
A. Annual Garage Sale - the date of the annual sale will be May 16, 2009.
B.
October Board Meeting - the Board agreed to change the date of the
October Board meeting to October 13 in order to accommodate a request
from Tri County Baptist Church which has a conflict on the originally
scheduled October meeting date.
C.
Homeowner Request - the Board agreed to meet in executive session at
the end of the April meeting to discuss this owner's Beckett Ridge
account.
D.
Resignation - Mitch Lippert tendered his resignation from the Beckett
Board. After serving for a number of years, he feels it is time to move
on. The other members of the Board thanked him for his hard work and
dedication to the community.
Adjournment
There being no further business to come before the Board, the meeting was adjourned at 7:15 p.m.
Next Meeting
The next Board of Trustees Meeting will be held on Tuesday, April 21, 2009 at 6:30 p.m. at Tri-County Baptist Church.
